Large mammals can use the largest of our transmitter options.
- COLLARS: By far the most commonly used option. Industrial band is used as belting type on all of our larger Collar models. This band provides much greater comfort, it includes rounded edges and can last for many years.
- EAR TAGS: Best option for protection of juvenile or increasingly growing animals, as collars could suffocate over time.
- Collars with expandable belting can also be used but there is a limit as to the level of expansion.
- IMPLANTS: There is loss of detection range because of the type of antenna used and the body mass, but the animal or other persons do not even notice the presence of the transmitter. Better detection range can be achieved on ruminants as the implant can be inserted into the rumen.
