- NECKLACE: Used on at least 2,000 deployments without known event of transmitter coming out, this method is in use on Gallinaceous birds like Grouse, Chicken, Pheasant, Quail, etc.
Necklaces are to be used like collars, with the main difference that there is no belting, instead the head is passed through a hole made by the antenna, epoxy, a bib preferably made of vinyl-coated nylon, or a combination of these. The bib is made by the user and attached to the center hole, then the head of the bird is passed through.
The transmitter is made so it lies flat over the chest, and whenever possible includes a “V” shape so it rests even better.
